Description

This tour takes in all the major sights in Namibia with the added bonus of stunning aerial views as you transfer by air between the different destinations. The wide open pans of Etosha teeming with wildlife, the simplistic culture of the Nomadic Himba people, the high dunes of the Skeleton Coast and historic coastal town of Swakopmund. It’s the ultimate way to explore Namibia.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Windhoek, transfer to Villa Verde Guesthouse for overnight accommodation. Dinner is for your own account.

Day 2
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Okonjima. The lodge vehicles will meet you on the airstrip upon arrival and transfer you to the lodge where you will stay for the next two nights. Two afternoon and one morning activity have been included. Okonjima is home to the Africat research project.

Day 4
Following the morning activity, board your charter flight to the nearby Ongava Lodge. Located just outside Etosha, you will enjoy two full days of game viewing activities.

Day 6
Depart from Ongava with a scenic flight over the pans before turning east to Doro Nava in the Damaraland region. Home to the local Himba tribe the lodge is a joint venture between the local community and eco-tourism organisations. Enjoy two days of exploring the Himba culture including visits to the nearby Twyfelfontein rock art site, game tracking and scenic drives.

Day 8
From Doro Nava board your charter flight and follow the coastline to view the famous skeleton coast with it’s many shipwrecks and spectacular dunes. Turn inland before the Angolan border to land at Epupa Camp on the Kunene river. The green river delta makes a sharp contrast to the red Namib dunes. Enjoy two days of relaxation, nature walks, and visit the beautiful Epupa Falls.

Day 10
Depart from Epupa and fly south down the Skeleton coast to Swakopmund. Arriving in the afternoon, transfer to the Hansa Hotel where you will be staying for the next 2 nights. Your stay includes a half day sightseeing tour of Swakopmund’s sights.

Day 12
Continuing down the coast, enjoy a scenic flight down to Sossousvlei. The famous high dunes make a spectular setting for your last night in the desert. Enjoy sundowners on the dunes, you may also see some game en route.

Day 13
Leaving Soussousvlei, enjoy a scenic flight over the dunes before turning north back to Windhoek. Upon arrival in Windhoek transfer to Villa Verde for an overnight stay.

Day 14
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight home.
